Ready for the Rush

Last week Michelle and I had a great trip up to Estes Park to celebrate our anniversary.  It was the first time we took any sort of vacation since our honeymoon...5 years ago!

It was a great time to relax.  Which will be highly important because things are about to get crazy with CIY, VBS, and New Orleans all within the next 5 weeks.

Here are the things to look forward to this week.

Milkshakes with Mickey - Wednesday, 7pm @ the DQ Chill & Grill off of 104th & Grant.  Afterward, everyone is talking about seeing Transformers.  If you want to go, call Kayla 720-887-2517 and she'll pre-order tickets

Thunder Bay Thursday - As always, we'll meet outside the front gate before they open at 10am.  For those who purchased the Splash passes, bring a friend because the free day pass is only good for the month of June.

CIY - It's finally here!  We'll meet at the church at 8am on Sunday.  Don't be late!

The Last Week in Our Student Ministry

Our last week in the student ministry has been packed.  We've had several events that have built community and made some memories (and settled some scores).  This is a glimpse of what is to come, so don't miss out!
Girls Night!!!
Buying $123 worth of junk food.

Since that wasn't enough food, they ordered pizza too...from that guy.

Then they taught some guys how to T.P. a house.  (Click here for back story)

Thunder Bay Thursday
The group from the first ever Thunder Bay Thursday.  We had more fun than we had sunscreen.

We saw Anthony Carter there.  I was going to take the picture but Trevor Ariza stepped in front of me and took it instead.

Chillin' around the grill

Mitchell sharing his story

We built a pyramid to get the ball Nick threw out of the tree.  We later got a ladder.

Thunder Bay Thursday is Here!!!

The first Thunder Bay Thursday is tomorrow June 4th!  We'll meet outside the gate at 9:45.  If you're late, we'll probably find a spot for our stuff at a picnic table near Thunder Bay.  If you're later than that, good luck finding us.  My guess is we'll start at Journey to the Center of the Earth and my place of choice is the Lazy River.  See you there!!!

Promotion Sunday

We had a great day with our new 6th graders in Middle school and our new freshmen in High School.  It was a long day of fun, fellowship and building community.  As Mitch and Marc heard plenty by the end of the day, I'm wicked tired but it was so so worth it.  We have a great group!

Here's a video from the day.

Here are some of the pictures if you want to download them.
